I have several recipes for homemade mayonnaise that I will get round to doing at some point but for several reasons (having to buy eggs, kitchen being nasty, time) I used low-fat bought mayonnaise. Of all the things that went on in this dish that is not its downfall.The Verdict
I refused to waste a lot of saffron on this abomination so it turned out slightly luminous. It tasted exactly like a mildly exotic potato salad. Meh.
