117 - Sardines and Chilli [Sardinas y Chilli]

Sardines and Pilchards and Anchovies oh my. While Portuguese cuisine is more of a fan of these than Spanish, they still feature fairly predominantly in The world of tapas. I'm not a big fan of them out with sauce but can tolerate most things when there is specie and heat involved.

The Verdict:

One fishy dishy down. Not as bad as I was expecting, great balance of flavours and while the smell of sardines fresh out a tin ranks lower than freshly brewed coffee or roses it tasted healthy and pretty interesting. Overall am pleasantly surprised.
